Job Description & Requirements
Description - Jobs in this category involve detailed analytical work
in support of of keeping projects within budget, cost estimates, and on schedule.
Activities include:
- Gathering of information and data from a wide variety of sources, on a formal
and informal basis.
- Manage, control, track cost estimates for project work, overall and detailed
budgets against actual expenses.
- Generate, present, report on project budget/actual and plan vs. actual schedule
status to project managers and procurement team members.
- Utilize a variety of software tools to accomplish the task.
- Be familiar with and understand project requirements and objectives, as
well as applicable customer/government regulations that may impact the project
and how it is tracked and reported.
Education Required - BA, in business, contract administration or procurement
related field.
Required Relevant Experience - 5 years or more in contracting, subcontracting,
or procurement experience involving the contract cycle, including at least 2
years in a project control or similar role. Highly desirable is work under US
Federal government contract regulations, such as the FAR, DFAR.
Highly Desirable -
- Experience in working with project in third-world countries.
- Military experience
- Experience working with large, very large, or sets of closely interrelated,
large subcontracts.

- Ability to manage a complex contract, under challenging circumstances.
- Ability to maintain productivity, both of own activities, and those of subcontractors,
under changing deadlines, and reprioritizations of work and completion schedules.
