Job Description & Requirements

Description - Positions at various levels, from procurement specialist or field buyer, through site or camp manager. All positions involve:

• Vendor identification and qualification.
• Determination of best combination of price, quality, delivery, terms to meet mission objectives.
• Maintenance of required documentation records and audit trails consistent with US Government regulations, i.e., Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Support of project/contract objectives as determined by project management, for schedule and delivery of ordered supplies and materials.
• Coordination with other procurement or subcontracting personnel for more complex tasks.
• Coordination with other procurement sources within the company, at different sites or regions where needed to procure difficult to obtain supplies, equipment and materials.
• Working with and maintaining proficiency in procurement information systems as required by the company and project.

Education Required - BA, in business, contract administration or procurement related field. Ten or more years procurement experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Highly desirable is an MBA or similar advanced degree.

Required Relevant Experience - 5 or more years in purchasing, or procurement related field.

Highly Desirable Experience and Abilities:

• Work experience doing procurement under US Government contracting and procurement rules, such as the FAR or DFAR.
• Military experience.
• Experience in procurement in third-world countries.
• Experience working long work hours/days/weeks, under challenging circumstances.
• Experience managing large, complex procurement activities, especially in third-world conditions, we want to talk with you as soon as possible if you have this kind of experience.

• Ability to complete necessary procurement activities under challenging circumstances.
• Ability to maintain productivity, both of own activities, and those of suppliers, under changing deadlines, and reprioritizations of work and completion schedules.
