Contracting - US Based Positions & Overseas
Job Description & Requirements
Description - Jobs at several levels, from contract administrator, through
contract manager and manager of contracting. All positions require experience
in contracting with the US Government or similar governmental entities. Most
positions are based in the US, in the Washington, DC area. Activities include:
- Managing incoming contracting opportunities, requests for proposals and
others.
- Preparation of contract documents throughout the entire contract cycle from
initial bid through aware and post-award.
- Maintenance of documentation and audit trails for all contracting activities,
consistent with FAR requirements and with company practices.
- Preparation of reports concerning individual contracts, or groups of contracts
for both contract management purposes, and for company management.
- Participation in activities to improve the process, systems, and procedures
of contracting.
- Interface with financial functions within the company for payment handing
and related matters.
- Preparation of requests for award and other special fees.
Education Required - BA, in business, contract administration or similar
related field. Highly desirable is Master's level degrees in contracting, business
or a related field.
Required Relevant Experience - Five or more years in contract administration,
contract management or similar field, either on the government side of the process,
or in the private industry side.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with contingency contracting practices and methods.
- Experience with Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracting methods.
- Detailed understanding of different types of contracts, how they are negotiated,
awarded and managed.

- Ability to maintain productivity contractors, under changing deadlines,
and reprioritizations of work and completion schedules.
