Job Description
& Requirements
Description - Positions at several levels, from auditor, through auditing
lead, to compliance and auditing manager. Activities include:
- Auditing of project procurement and subcontracting files and activities
to insure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company requirements.
- Detailed analysis of documentation and audit trails of files to identify
corrective actions needed, both for an individual file, and to the procurement/subcontracting
activity that produced the file.
- Work with procurement and subcontracting staff to prepare for various government
audits, such as CPSR's, IG audits and others.
- Preparation of reports for internal audit, compliance and procurement management
regarding compliance audit work, findings, and actions needed.
- Analysis of procurement and subcontracting systems, procedures and practices
to identify specific improvements needed in software functioning, procedures
in use, and in training of staff.
Education Required - BA, in business, contract administration or procurement
related field. Highly desirable is an MBA or similar advanced degree. Ten or
more years experience in this field may substitute for the degree requirement.
Required Relevant Experience - 10 years in procurement and/or subcontracting
under the FAR or similar US Government contracting regulation, with at least
3 of these in auditing or related compliance work.
Highly Desired:
- Previous work experience in third-world countries in a procurement, contracting,
subcontracting or audit role.
- Previous leadership/managerial experience in compliance and auditing, or
in subcontracting/procurement.
- Military experience.
- Experience in very large contracts, and/or managing large teams.
